Upon arrival our friendly staff will provide you with a check in package containing brochures which offer discounts for dinning, shopping, fishing and attractions.

Stay Requirements
We offer two types of rentals, transient and non-transient. Transient rentals are available for less than 30 days while non-transient are available for 30 or more days. We operate in accordance with Chapter 509, Florida Statutes.

The following is how it will be denoted in the description of the property.

  • 3 Day minimum requirement
  • 7 day minimum requirement
  • 30 day minimum requirement

Rates
Our standard rates are subject to change without notice
Standard rates do not include 12.5% tax, $35 booking fee, and cleaning fees.
Cleaning fees vary by property.

Payment
The Total Rental = Rent, tax, booking fee, cleaning fee and if elected, optional travel insurance.

  • For bookings 60 days or more prior to arrival

1st payment (required at booking) = 50% of the Total Rental
2nd payment (required 60 days prior to arrival) = 50% of the Total Rental

  • For bookings 59 days or less prior to arrival

100% of the Total Rental (required at booking)

Travel Insurance
We offer optional travel insurance, the cost of this coverage is 7.25% of the Total Rental. Questions about coverage provided please call CSA Protection at 866.298.6846 reference plan 320CSA/KEYWESTV.

Cancellation
Unless you have purchased travel insurance the following will apply:

  • For bookings 60 days or more prior to arrival

Full refund less 20% of 1st payment plus booking fee

  • For bookings 59 days or less prior to arrival

No refund

Check - In/Check – Out:
Late check-outs and early check-ins can be requested prior to arrival but are not guaranteed. 
Check In: Is at 3pm.
Check Out: Is at 10am.

Check-In procedure:
Please check in at our office between the hours of 8am to 9pm. At our check-in office you will be provided a map and keys with directions to the unit. Below are the directions to our office:
From US 1:
Once you arrive in Key West, make a left turn at the light onto South Roosevelt Boulevard. Follow South Roosevelt past the first light, go over small bridge and make your second right-hand turn at Seaside Drive. (Please note the first right is the entrance to Doubletree Resort we are at the second right)) Follow the road continuing straight through the circle. At the second circle, veer to the right and make your first left-hand turn. Our office is located in the main office of Sunrise Suites Resort Condominium.

From Key West Airport:
Exit airport and turn left onto South Roosevelt Boulevard. Continue for approximately one mile until you come to your first left (if you’ve come to the bridge you have gone to far). Turn left onto Seaside Drive. Follow the road continuing straight through the circles or turn-about. At the second circle, veer to the right and make your first left-hand turn. Our office is located in upstairs above main office of Sunrise Suites Resort Condominium.

After Hours Check-in information:
When the office is closed, we use a lock box system to store property keys. Our lock box is located on the outside wall of our building that faces the parking lot. Please call our office prior to arrival for the combination.  Inside, you will find a manila envelope with your name on it along with one set of keys and a map to your property. Please stop by the office the next business day to sign in, collect extra keys if needed, and receive special offers on local restaurants and attractions.

Security Deposit
Damage to the Property: Key West Vacation Properties & Realty does a meet and greet to assess the condition of the property before each rental. Upon your arrival, if you find anything broken or out of the ordinary, please report it; otherwise you may be deemed responsible. As renters, you must assume responsibility for any damage that occurs at the property during your stay. Frequent examples are: stained carpets/furniture/linens, moving furniture and not putting it back.

  • When a credit card is used it is only charged if damages occur during guest stay, or if extraordinary cleaning, excessive laundry beyond normal usage and telephone charges occur during guest stay.
  • A damage charge will not be assessed, provided all rental conditions are met, including: property left reasonably clean and without damage, no excessive laundry left, garbage disposed of properly in outdoor container and furniture left in original location.

Parking Restrictions
Parking in many Key West locations are vary restricted, by space or regulation. Parking required for motor home, travel trailers, boat trailers, etc. may determine which unit you stay in, or require off street parking arrangements. Off street parking is not available for all locations. Please let us know if you require parking for any of these vehicles so we can make arrangements prior to arrival.
Behavior
Should a guest’s behavior necessitate eviction it will result in forfeiture of all monies prepaid. Example; loud noise, guest exceeding maximum occupancy, unauthorized pets, etc.
What to bring
The owner and their individual taste outfit each unit.

  • The units have minimal kitchen essentials, bed linens and bath towels.
  • We also provide an initial supply of propane gas grills, bath soap, dish washing liquid, toilet paper, laundry detergent and paper towels. Additional supplies are responsibility of the renter.
  • We recommend you bring your own blow dryer.
  • Most of our units offer washer and dryers and/or pool towels however, please email us for more information on the unit you chose for your vacation.

Additional Information
Age: Student groups are not permitted. No occupants may be under the age of 25 unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Pets: Will not be allowed unless previously agreed in writing, all pets require a pet fee.
Association Rules: If the unit is a condominium, or other multiple unit accommodation, the guest person occupying the unit agree to abide by the rules of the association, a copy will be furnished upon check-in or posted in the units.
Keys: The following charges will be assessed: key delivery or lockout $25, lost keys or keys not returned $50 each and lost gate cards or gate keys $100 each.
Mail: If necessary to receive mail during your stay, please have it sent to 3685 Seaside Drive, Key West FL 33040. Owners do not supply mailbox keys. Mail can be picked up between the hours of 8am to 9pm 7 days a week.
Lost & Found: We are not responsible for articles left behind. Items can be returned to guest at their expense.
Housekeeping: Available upon request for a fee of $25 per hour.
Smoking: Smoking is not permitted inside our homes. Smoking is only permitted outside.
Returned Check: A fee will be assessed of $35 for returned checks.

Meet and Greet Staff
Upon arrival our staff does a meet and greet to assess the condition of the property before each rental and familiarize you with the property. If you find anything broken or out of the ordinary please report it immediately.

Hurricane Policy & Procedures
Hurricane season in the Florida begins June 1 and ends November 30. Please take a moment to review the following information for procedures regarding mandatory evacuation:

  • We will notify guests of mandatory non-resident evacuation
  • Guests evacuating must return keys for property to Key West Vacation Properties & Realty, LLC office for the evacuation period
  • Guests are expected to stay informed of evacuation status. This information is available on local television and radio stations, or at www.monroecounty-fl.gov.
  • When the evacuation order has been lifted, the guests are expected to contact their property manager to arrange for their return to the property.

In the event of a mandatory evacuation for a hurricane, guests may elect to stay at a safe, temporary location. Key West Vacation Properties & Realty will refund for the time period of the evacuation with the following conditions:

  • Keys for the property must be returned to office and documented
  • Key West Vacation Properties & Realty does not provide or pay for accommodations out of evacuation zone.
  • When the evacuation order is lifted and the property is not damaged by the storm, the guest is expected to return to the property.
  • If guest elects to cancel the remainder of vacation and return home, Key West Vacation Properties & Realty will not refund any unused nights beyond evacuation period, unless the property was damaged and deemed unsafe.
